 The SOCALM entry in the El Segundo Holiday Parade, held last December 14, won the "Best Decorated Car" from the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce judges. This was a collective award given to the club for "Accumulation of Finely Decorated Cars". Nine cars participated in the parade in 2008. A trophy was awarded at the February 3 El Segundo City Council meeting. The meeting was held at the City Hall Council Chambers, 350 Main Street, El Segundo. Your President and Holiday Parade run leader, Mark Kozlevcar, was unable to attend the presentation.
Bud Martin graciously attended the meeting and accepted the award on behalf of the club. The 2009 parade is scheduled to be held on Sunday, December 13th. |
